New Yorker Book Of Golf Cartoons

by nobogies on March 3, 2010

From the wonderful golf cartoons published over the decades in The New Yorker, cartoon editor Bob Mankoff has culled the best for this book from the magazine’s amazing artists. George Plimpton has theorized on sports books that “the smaller the ball, the better the book”. He was commenting on literature, but this fabulous collection proves his theory true for cartoons as well. This unforgettable collection contains 100 pages of cartoons, from cartoonists, including such luminaries as Charles Addams, Roz Chast, Whitney Darrow, Jr., Edward Koren, George Price, and William Steig. The New Yorker Book of Golf Cartoons, like a whole in one, will leave you smiling.
